This is actually quite big news.
Oh, and, it doesn't really bother me that Mac is changing. I guess Ariza can have it. I wonder if more 'famous/star' nba players have worn no. 1 or 3 in their careers....?
Oh, RV didn't mention that the number change was due to McGrady wanting 3 to be representative of his work in Darfur. He applied for the change midway through last season, and it got approved in the off-season.

Sucks for Franchise, who may be on the next TNT v. Chuck "Who he play for?" Gameshow.
But cool for Darfur support and the 2007 documentary chronicling T-Mac visiting and learning about the tumultuous situation over there, "3 points for Darfur" or to paraphrase the actual title. Why didn't we hear more about this back then is a shame.
