Well, its more like enough snow flurries to leave a thin white coat outside, but even that we don't get very often....maybe every 3 or 4 yrs. Last time it really snowed was I believe in '91...that is all......oh yeah and the Suns just traded for JRich in exchange for Bell and Diaw!
Dude, up here we got a coupla inches of snow over the weekend . . . it's all gone now. But anyways, on to the real stuff.
Man, that trade was interesting. The Suns also got Jared Dudley. Just thought I'd point that out, I like the dude. Saw him a few times when he was over at BC.
Anyways, again, just interesting. Wonder how it works for Phoenix. It won't affect the Cats much, except that they lost their marquee player/scorer. Hmmm. It's all just interesting.
I love ambiguous trades. Again, it won't put even a dent on the EC, but with the WC, that is interesting. We gotta let it play out. Have fun playin' around in the snow, RV.
I'm not sure how its going to play out either, the cats are also suppose to sign Juwan Howard this week, so perhsaps they're actually trying to win by brining in solid vets who don't mess around. Too bad for Raja though, he belongs on a contender.
There isn't even enough snow to play with, its weird how everyone is going crazy over it, but its so rare down here. Monday it was 75 degrees. Tonight the low will hit 32 and we'll be back to the 70s by the weekend, that's our insane weather...
RV, I hear ya. It was 12 degrees two days ago and this morning it was 60. And it all melted. And the Cats were/are gonna sign Juwan Howard? Signing 35 year old former Fab Five members won't help with their current lineup. Just to give you a sense of how long ago it was when the Fab Five was around: Two years before I was born. I know that you know how long ago that was, but it's a fun fact. hee hee.
Anyway, I think the JRich/Nash backcourt will be very interesting to watch. Richardson is a very dynamic player and it's going to be fun to see how he affects the Wild Wild West.
I believe they still are going to sign him, but i think he actually has game left. He's in shape and his game never was about speed, so he's still effective. i think its more about making the team more professional, when you're full of young guys like they have been, the mood is too relaxed and unfocused and that often translates to bad play.
Its good for the Cats. They keep the 3pt scoring that Richardson gives them while also adding a very food defensive player in Bell- something that Larry Brown will be happy about. Wallace and Okafor should be pleased too. Diaw adds versatility to the front-court and relieves pressure off of Wallace- allowing him to play the 3. He slots in at 4 and 5 mostly while allowing Okafor more rest minutes. Juwan Howard can play 4 and 5 so he does the same thing. Sort of. But dude is old.
Obviously, adding Richardson ^'s athleticism helps the suns- something they missed without Marion. Getting someone who will dribble drive like JRich frees up easy shots for Nash outside, while giving more leeway to Amare and Shaq inside. Easier shots all round.
Good points, Hursty, all around. But I have to say, the real "food defensive player" on the Bobcats has to be Sean May . . . just playin' man. Great points you made here.
I don't care, Hursty. I just took a small mistake that you made to make a Sean May joke. Hope you didn't take offense at that one. I didn't mean it as a mean thing, dude.
I love the snow quote, then just nonchalantly mentioning the trade. I don't like this trade at all. Bobcats trade their best player for a horrible contract of Boris BYAW Diaw, Raja Bell does help some, but it still doesn't make up for JRICH. I'm sure BETCATS is irate right now. Dudley? NO comment. They don't need an unathletic PF in that offense, they need a boomer. Dudley was fine and dandy at BC, just as Sean May was fine at UNC...Regardless, they are both useless pros to me. I care more about the Antonio C3PO Daniels trade than I do about this. But back to the snow quote. Making it more important makes me think you are from Texas like me :)
Moose- stop being so defensive man. Stand up for yourself a little bit. Just because someone says something *slightly* off of what you say, doesnt mean that you have to bitch out like 'Melo lolol. :) jks mate.

At least you get SOME powder.
Up here in the STL, all we got is ice.

PS- Its hot as hell here in SYD.
a conversation about the Bobcats by people that know NOTHING about the team is a bad idea
